Located just outside Kiambu Town, Ibonia Estate stretches across nearly 200 hectares of land — much of it left untouched. Forest, wetlands, rivers, and wildlife surround the coffee itself, creating a slower and more stable growing environment at elevation. The soil is deep red Kikuyu loam, rich in iron and organic matter, giving the trees both structure and longevity.

The estate is planted primarily with SL28, a cultivar known for intensity and acidity when grown correctly. At Ibonia, the management is meticulous. Careful harvesting, disciplined processing, and strong agricultural practices preserve clarity without flattening the character of the seed.

In the cup: brownie upfront, cranberry through the center, lime on the finish. Dense, vivid, and structured. A Kenyan coffee that carries brightness without losing depth.
